Everyday Women, Femmes, Transgender folx are openly and with a full sense of entitlement called out, harassed by men for how we look, why we aren't smiling, the list goes on. Then every time we are provided with "suggestions" by the same men for how to look and better appease the male gaze. Worse still society teaches us that we should apologize for these "transgressions". Fears of violence often keep us from being able to push back against this and say what we want to say at the moment. So try treating the ears around you to this song at high volumes, sing along and be unapologetically angry with us at this bullshit reality!
